UAW Region 1 endorses Eric Coleman for state House District 35

SOUTHFIELD - UAW Region 1 announced their endorsement of Eric Coleman for State Representative of District 35, which represents Southfield, Lathrup Village, the Charter Township of Oak Park and portions of Oak Park. Coleman currently serves as an Oakland County commissioner representing the southern portion of Southfield.

Coleman claims endorsements from former Detroit Mayor Dennis Archer, Southfield Treasurer Irv Lowenberg, Southfield President Pro Tem Sidney Lantz, Southfield Councilwoman Joan Seymour, Southfield Councilwoman Linnie Taylor, Oak Park Mayor Gerald Naftaly, Oak Park Mayor Pro Tem Michael Seligson, Oak Park Councilman Paul Levine, Oak Park Councilman Emile Duplesis, Lathrup Village Councilman Kyrian Nwagwu, Royal Oak Township Supervisor William Morgan, Rev. Dr. Carlyle Fielding Stewart III, Rev. Oscar King, the Greater Detroit Building & Construction Trades and the Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers.

Also seeking the 35th District state House seat is Democrat Rudy Hobbs of Lathrup Village and Republican Michael Weinenger of Southfield.

The winner of the Republican and Democratic primaries on Aug. 3 run against each other in the Nov. 2 general election
