Tea Party hosts Clarkston candidate forum Oct. 26

  The Independent Tea Party Patriots is hosting a candidate town hall meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at Fountains Golf and Banquet Center, 6060 Maybe Road in Clarkston. Preceding the meeting is a 5:15 p.m. reception.
  Participating in the town hall are U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Howell, who faces Democrat Lance Enderle of East Lansing in the Nov. 2 election. Rogers represents north Oakland County, part of Shiawassee County and all of Livingston, Clinton and Ingham counties.

  •  Also scheduled to participate are state Rep. Jim Marleau, R-Lake Orion, who is running against Democrat Casandra Ulbrich for the open 12th District state Senate seat representing Keego Harbor, Sylvan Lake, Pontiac, Lake Angelus, Auburn Hills, Rochester Hills, Rochester and the townships of Independence, Orion, Oakland, Addison and Oxford.
  • Republican Dave Robertson of Grand Blanc Township, who is running against Democrat Paula Zelenko of Burton for the open 26th District state Senate seat that includes the Oakland County communities of Groveland, Brandon, Springfield and Waterford townships.
  • State Rep. Eileen Kowall, R-White Lake, who is seeking re-election in the 44th District state House seat representing Highland, White Lake, Springfield and Independence townships. Her Nov. 2 opponent is Democrat Phil Fabrizio of Highland.
